every Friday Morning
from 10am - 12noon
Two people will be on duty
to offer you a cup of tea or coffee.
You can talk to them or not,
and you can sit in the church
for as long as you like.

Every Sunday Morning at 10.30 with activities for children.

Spectacular Concert - Spectacular Fund-raising

The Boots Orchestra

The Boots Orchestra was on good form
and soloist Megumi was absolutely spectacular.

The Bruch Violin Concertor exceeded all our expectations,
and we were all mesmerised
with Megumi's impromptu solo in the second half.

And we raise a spectacular amount

£545.00

for the Jericho Road Project
(rounded up by another generous personal donations)

came into the church and grounds
for the 2013
Sherwood Art Week
Secret Garden Craft Fair
- just 100 fewer than last year.

Members of the United Reformed Church joined others from St Martin's CofE, Sherwood Methodist Church and St John's CofE for the annual Good Friday Walk of Witness

This is the third station outside our chrurch
taken just as we moved off to walk down Mansfield Road.

Cheque Presented

Presentation of the Cheque After our wonderful "Strike up the Band" concert,
four members of the hospitality team
present a Cheque for £300
to Staff at City Hospital's Maternity unit,
to help babies and parents
who require special care.

Lizzie Wright, Nottingham Hospitals Fundraiser said
"I am amazed, inspired and so grateful for people like you
who go the extra mile for their community.
I really hope that you had a great time putting on your event!"

We did - all the more so as we did it for others!

General Assembly 2012

URC General Assembly in Scarborough 2012Three Sherwood Members - David, Tricia, and Jill
were privileged to represent The East Midlands Synod
at this years General Assembly of the United Reformed Church

Jill is a frequent attender of National Committees
being a member of the Mission Council - a smaller body
that oversees the denomination in between our two yearly Assembly.

Decision made at General Assembly
will feed into our church meetings in the coming months.
